Corporate Histo
In March 2001, DiaTri, LLC began doing business nationally under the name MDM. Instantly, insurance companies, third-party administrators & employers in the workers compensation industry recognized the value of our national diagnostic network & scheduling service. At that time, MDM's product offering focused on the diagnostic core services of MRI, CT & EMG. Eventually MDM expanded its menu of services to include modalities such as bone scan, arthrogram, myelogram and various others. Beyond scheduling diagnostic tests, MDM also recognized an opportunity to educate the payor community as a whole by developing an Educational Program. The MDM Educational Program includes providing our customer base with complimentary quarterly educational mailings focusing on workers compensation injuries. MDM/DiaTri also offers CEU classes in which adjusters and nurse case managers can earn credits.

The initial success that we enjoyed with regional clients in the Midwest did not go unnoticed by the larger national insurance carriers, third-party administrators, nurse case management groups and diagnostic providers. Our clients demanded that these service levels be shared with their sister offices across the country. We now work with the largest insurance carriers, TPAs, and self-insured employers in the business. We have also maintained our ever important regional clients.

In 2002, feedback from clients prompted MDM to develop the division called Advanced Ancillary Services (AAS) which provides Age of Injury, Second Opinions & Retrospective Review Negotiation Services on diagnostic bills. We met the needs of our clients and they responded by making AAS another successful diagnostic tool. In 2004 AAS once again took the seasoned advice of our clients by expanding our Retrospective Review service to include all medical bills not just diagnostics.

After settling into a very successful position in the workers compensation industry, we decided to move beyond common testing devices used for everyday diagnosis and injury management. After taking into consideration recent developments in the diagnostic arena, MDM/DiaTri identified the significance of Positron Emission Tomography (P.E.T.) scans for group health carriers managing considerable numbers of insureds facing cancer detection and treatment. So, in 2003, MDM/DiaTri worked closely with our provider partners before launching the nation's first P.E.T. imaging network and scheduling service - Diagnostic P.E.T. Network (DPN).

At this point, MDM/DiaTri has a complete package of cost containment & time management products ready-made for both workers compensation and group health payors. However, MDM/DiaTri continues to look for opportunities to further develop our presence in both the national & international diagnostic arena. Of course, we continue to take into consideration our partners needs when seeking such endeavors.
